# Docs MCP server (https://www.agentenvframework.com/docs/reference/mcp)

> Search and read these docs from Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or any other MCP client

These docs are also an MCP server, at `https://www.agentenvframework.com/mcp`, so a coding agent can
look things up in them while it works. It only reads the docs, and it needs no sign-in.

## Connect

The **Connect** menu at the top of every docs page copies the Claude Code command, or installs the
server in Cursor or VS Code in one click. To add it by hand:

**Claude Code**

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http agentenv-docs https://www.agentenvframework.com/mcp
```

**Cursor**

```json
{ "mcpServers": { "agentenv-docs": { "url": "https://www.agentenvframework.com/mcp" } } }
```

**VS Code**

```json
{ "servers": { "agentenv-docs": { "type": "http", "url": "https://www.agentenvframework.com/mcp" } } }
```

**Codex**

```bash
codex mcp add agentenv-docs --url https://www.agentenvframework.com/mcp
```

Cursor reads `~/.cursor/mcp.json` and VS Code `.vscode/mcp.json`. Any other client, such as Claude.ai or
ChatGPT, takes the URL as a remote MCP server or custom connector, with no authentication.

| `get_page` | A page as Markdown, the same as its `.md` URL, from the page's URL or path. A long page comes in parts of up to 20,000 characters |
| `list_pages` | Every page, with its URL and description |

Opening the URL in a browser shows `405 Method Not Allowed`: MCP clients send POST requests to it.
